About
Empower Lacrosse (ELC) is a non-profit organization in the Upper Valley of NH and VT that seeks to grow and promote girls' lacrosse in our area. Empower provides financial assistance and grants to lacrosse players and coaches from VT and NH to ensure that financial barriers do not exclude anyone from participation in Upper Valley girls' lacrosse events.
Empower not only supports players, families and teams, but also helps sustain and diversify our Upper Valley lacrosse community.
In the past, players and teams supported by Empower have taken part in events by MACH1 Lacrosse, ECHO Lacrosse and Mountain Dog Lacrosse Camps hosted by Dartmouth College.
Empower Lacrosse Club became a nonprofit [501(c)(3)] in May of 2016. In 2018 Empower shifted away from managing teams to providing financial assistance and grants to lacrosse players and coaches in NH and VT, so they can participate in Upper Valley girls’ lacrosse events. In our first 6 months of solely providing financial assistance, Empower offered nearly $4,000 to lacrosse players from NH and VT for Upper Valley girls’ lacrosse events.
Empower is managed by a Board of Directors:
Lindsay Fox, Hanover, NH
Marianne Bocock Doyle, Hanover, NH
Sara Ecker, Thetford, VT
Amy Truchon, South Burlington, VT
Kelsey Redpath, Lebanon, NH
